Searching YouTrack Documentation

YouTrack simplifies navigation actions with a set of keys and keyboard shortcuts:

Shortcut Action
Escape Switches focus between the search box and the list of issues.
In other contexts (Command window, issue editing mode etc.), acts as the Cancel button.
Up arrow Navigates up the list of issues.
Down arrow Navigates down the list of issues.
Right arrow Expands issue details, such as description (first press) and comments (second press), right in the list of issues.
Left arrow Collapses issue details.
Ctrl+Right Opens the next page of search results.
Ctrl+Left Opens the previous page of search results.
Enter Opens the issue highlighted in the list on a separate page.

While you navigate between issues, keep in mind other useful shortcuts:

Alt+Insert
or Ctrl+Alt+Insert (in Opera)
or Ctrl+N (in Mac OS)
Opens a form to create a new issue.
F2
or double-click
Switches to edit issue mode.
Ctrl+Space
or Alt+Down
Displays query completion in the search box.
Space Selects the issue that is currently highlighted in the list of issues.
Shift+Up Navigates up the list of issues, selecting issues that it passes along the way.
Shift+Down Navigates down the list of issues, selecting issues that it passes along the way.
Ctrl+A Selects or deselects all issues on the current page.
Ctrl+Alt+J
or any letter
If an issue is highlighted or several issues are selected, opens the Command window to perform different operations with selected issues.
Ctrl+Alt+C If an issue is highlighted or several issues are selected, lets you quickly comment the issues using the Command window.
Ctrl+Enter In certain contexts (for example, when creating or editing issues, or using the Command window), acts as the OK button.
