You can save complex search queries for future use.

To Save a Search Query

  1. Click the Save this search link just below the search box.
  2. Enter a name for the query in the Save Search dialog box.
  3. In the Visible for group drop-down list, select a group that you want to share the saved search with.
  4. In the Updateable for group drop-down list, select a group that you want to grant saved search editing permissions to.
  5. Click OK. The saved query will appear in the Saved Searches pane to the left of the issue list, just below the Tags pane.

To Invoke a Saved Search

  • Enter saved search: in the search box, and select a saved search from the completion list that YouTrack provides, or type the name under which it has been saved.
  • Select a saved search in the Saved Searches pane to the left of the issue list.

To Edit a Saved Search

  1. In the Saved Searches pane, click the edit icon to the right of the saved search:
    If the icon doesn't display, then you don't have permissions to edit the saved search.
  2. In the Edit Saved Search dialog box, edit saved search options, or delete the saved search.
