Currently, the Custom Domain Configuration is not yet implemented directly within YouTrack Hosted UI. However, if you want to use a custom domain name for your YouTrack Hosted instance, you can obtain it with our help. Check the description below, and stay tuned for updates.
Obtaining Custom Domain Name for YouTrack Hosted Instance
- Register your domain name. To do so, you can use any available domain registering service to your liking, for example http://godaddy.com.
- Provide CNAME record for your Hosted YouTrack instance. A CNAME record or Canonical Name record is a type of resource record in the Domain Name System (DNS) that specifies that the domain name is an alias of another, canonical domain name. For example, a CNAME record like this:
may be read as:
myyoutrack.com is an alias for the canonical name (CNAME) myyoutrack.myjetbrains.com.
- Send us at youtrack-hosted-support@jetbrains.com both your CNAME and the custom domain name used as an alias for the CNAME record.
- When you receive from us confirmation email that your custom domain name is enabled on your YouTrack instance, you need to login to your instance as administrator, open Administration > Settings page and update the 'Base URL' setting.
